Ame 雨 — Kimura Ryusei, Kyoto

A stoneware cup by Kyoto-based ceramist Kimura Ryusei. The body is built from dark red clay with visible horizontal texture from the throwing process, while a pale blue-white glaze drips from the rim — pooling and streaking down the surface like rain over earth. The contrast between the raw, layered clay below and the luminous glaze above gives the piece a quiet drama that shifts with the light.
